Cork Roadbed, Turnout Pad, 3mm

Cork Roadbed for model railroads. These are rectangular pads ideal for use under turnouts and crossings. This is made from the same material as our rolls and strips. Pads can be easily cut to any required shape or combined to accomodate larger turnouts. Sold in sets of 2 pads.

This pad is 3mm thick intended for branchline service in HO or mainline N scale! Images show HO scale for installation example.

This pad is intended to be used for crossovers, replacing the two inner roadbed strips in a double-track line. It provides a solid center surface to support the turnout's diverging route between two parallel lines - see the images for example use. Designed for straight parallel tracks on typical centerline spacing. Select the width and length appropriate for your scale and turnout angle

• Use 9" pads for crossovers using most sizes of N scale turnouts.
• Use 12" pads for crossovers using up to #6 turnouts in HO scale and and #8 and larger turnouts in N scale.
• Use 15" pads for crossovers using #7 and larger turnouts in HO scale. 2.25" width for HO scale track spacing.
