Bridge "shoes" that mount between the abutment and the base of the bridge. On the prototype, these provide mechanical isolation, allowing limited movement to account for expansion and contraction of dissimilar materials (steel bridge and stone/concrete abutment).
These are one-piece detail items and do not function. They are intended to be glued to the bridge and the abutment on at least one side of the bridge section. This is a set of 4 shoes, enough for one bridge segment.
Produced in gray plastic. Approximately 7/8" high (22.2mm) with a base 1-1/16 (27mm) by 7/8" (22.5mm).
