Cork Roadbed, 6mm - Odds & Ends

During production of our 100% natural cork roadbed, there are leftover pieces too small to cut into strips, a fraction of a millimeter too thick (jams our machinery), or other items that don't count as "first quality" material. All priced for budget friendly sale! As these are produced from leftovers and other non-standard processes, purchases are limited to stock on-hand. HWNB    HO Scale Wide Non-Beveled strips - bundle of 15 feet (5 strips). These strips are 1.75" wide by 36" long and are probably thicker than the 6.10 limit on our machinery, usually by 0.02 to 0.08mm. Not enough to cause issues when laying track but definitely too thick for the tolerances on our machinery. These pieces may also have slight end damage, but all pieces are a minimum of 35" long. These are ideal for long, straight sections and will not curve easily.

HSNB    HO Scale Non-Beveled Strips - bundle of 15 feet (10 strips). These strips are 0.75" wide - the same as the top of standard beveled strips. Install as usual, then apply a bead of caulk to the outside edges to set the ballast profile (similar to our rolled roadbed). These are ideal for use in tunnels or other hidden trackage.

OSNB    O Scale Non-Beveled Strips - bundle of 15 feet (10 strips). These strips are 1.0" wide - the same as the top of standard beveled strips. Install as usual, then apply a bead of caulk to the outside edges to set the ballast profile (similar to our rolled roadbed). These are ideal for use in tunnels or other hidden trackage.

H6MX    HO Scale Beveled strips, Mixed. Bundle of 12 feet (4 pairs). These are "non-paired" strips that result from one half of the strip becoming damaged during production. Due to manufacturing tolerances, mixed strips may be up to 1/16" wider or narrower when installed compared to a pair of first-quality product. Of course, you can match equal width strips and narrow/wide strips and have a perfect set, but we certainly don't have time for that! Some strips may have minimal end damage, but all strips are at least 35.5" long.

H6RX    HO Scale 6mm Roll-Uneven - a standard 48-foot roll that did not cut evenly. This roadbed can be laid either with small gaps at the centerline and filled with caulk or with the uneven edge at the outside, simulating a lower-quality roadbed with dips and sags. The difference is 1/8" or less but greater than our usual tolerance of 1/32".
